Problem
When starting the neoCatalog app then the screen is shown black.
The hostname of your computer changed that was used when creating this neoCatalog. The hostname can change when:
- The system was updated (e.g. macbook-de-inedit.local to macbook-de-inedit-2.local).
- The hostname was registered in your network but now is not valid anymore.
If your computer had an update:
- Go to neoCatalog preferences (right-click on the icon with the name on the left sidebar).
- Disable the option to use the hostname and use your computer IP.
- Do not change the port.
- Click on the Save button and wait until neoCatalog restarts.
- Once restarted you can go back to the preferences and enable to see the host name again.
If your hostname was registered on the network:
- Get in contact with the network admin and update or remove the registration of your hostname.
- Once restarted you can go back to the preferences and enable to see the host name again.
