Step 1: Verify your license
neoStampa licenses can be activated using either:
- A USB Dongle
- A Computer-Based License (UUID)
If you have a USB dongle, connect it to your current computer and verify that neoStampa starts correctly.
Will my existing dongle still work?
In most cases, older USB dongles remain valid and can be used on a new computer. The dongle contains the license information and can be moved to the new machine.
If you are unsure whether the dongle is still valid, please provide:
- A photo of the dongle
- The dongle number (if visible)
- A screenshot of the License Log from neoStampa
Our Support team can verify the license details for you.
Step 2: Install neoStampa on the new computer
- Download the latest neoStampa installer.
- Run the installation as Administrator.
- Complete the installation process.
- Do not uninstall the software from the old computer until the migration has been confirmed.

Step 3: Transfer your settings
To preserve your existing workflow, printer configurations, and settings, we recommend creating a backup from the current computer.
The backup may include:
- Print schemes
- Color management settings
- Calibration data
- Printer configurations
- User preferences
- Hotfolders and automation settings (if applicable)
If you are not familiar with this process, our Support team can guide you through the backup and restoration procedure.
Step 4: Connect the dongle
After installing neoStampa:
- Connect the USB dongle to the new computer.
- Launch neoStampa.
- Wait for the Activation Manager to detect the dongle.
- Verify that the license is displayed correctly.
If the dongle is not detected:
- Try another USB port.
- Avoid USB hubs or docking stations.
- Restart the computer.
- Check that the dongle drivers are installed correctly.
Step 5: Verify your configuration
Before using neoStampa in production, confirm that:
- The printer is visible and configured correctly.
- Print schemes are available.
- Color profiles are present.
- Test prints can be generated successfully.
We recommend printing a small test job before resuming normal production.
